The question is framed badly. A better way is to ask;
"Should we stop teachers that can/want to carry in schools from doing so?"
The school shouldn't give nor force teachers to carry. Though they should respect the will of those that want to.
Some States such as Utah have it in law that they cannot bar a teacher that has a CCW from carrying. Utah is a Constitutional Carry state, but you need the carry permit to do so on campus.

I believe if they're trained and qualified they should of course enjoy their 2A also.
They have become the last safety gate keepers in the classroom.

The fact that people are having this debate in the USA is out of this world. Why don't you just copy gun laws there are present in any other western country, where mass shootings in schools are not a regular thing? This is ridicolous

Schools are required to have a certain percentage of staff qualified to give First Aid and CPR - right? So if qualified (same standards as the police) teachers conceal carry to work shouldn't they also get a bump up in pay too? Also shouldn't schools require a minimal amount of qualified staff to conceal carry for their and students protection?

I was a teacher before becoming a nurse. This is a horrible idea. Your average female teacher can easily be overpowered by a male high school student and the firearm taken away.
