US: Military Sexual Assault Survivors Suffer Retaliation

Im a civilian integrated with the military and had this happen to me first hand some years ago. What's worse is I didn't even report the assault, it was publicized on my behalf without my consent. It created a private hell for me and had a major impact on my career. I got harassed and ostracized so much that in the end I was stuttering at work and having issues functioning. I couldn't just leave either as I had signed a contract with the government agreeing to stay in return for them paying to relocate me to this base overseas. It was FAR worse than the assault itself and lasted a couple years. What's worse is this happens to men also but if they speak up it's even worse.

It is sad to know there is no justice for rape victims in America. It is even disgusting when the victim is in the military. If they don't protect their own how can civilians expect justice.

This current mindset in America makes #AmyConeyBarrett nomination questionable.
