Once we find out what our suns are, we must turn from sin (repent) and ask for forgiveness. It takes a long time which is why God allows us to live long enough to mature us in Christianity.

I hear what you are saying, but you for some strange reason are removing the "Grace of God." I read the word of God, as I am led by the power of the "Indwelling Holy Spirit, " and it tells me that it will never be by "works, " that any Human does, but rather in Belief, that one is saved! Salvation is a "Gift" from God Almighty to the believer, you can't work for it or earn it in any way what so ever, and all God is looking for is your Complete surrender, so that the "Holy Spirit, " of God can come and live in you, and "He" will be your Guide, your Teacher, and your don't make "Salvation" harder than it it is the "Free" Gift for all whom believe! Please read and live Ephesians 2:8-9 v8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— v9 not by works, so that no one can boast. NO!!! You have to admit you are a sinner and there is no way to save your self. You have to trust that Jesus came and lived a perfect life, died on the cross for your sins, and rose again on the 3rd day. You have to make him Lord of your life.

This is false, Salvation comes from putting your faith in Christ, God makes it clear in scripture that it isn't of ourselves, doing our best is our calling but not our salvation, We are saved the very second we accept Christ, Do not put faith in what you do as an act to get to heaven, put faith in your works as an act of love.

Repent, definitely. But baptism doesn't save you; it is an outward sign of an inward change. Trust in the finished work of Jesus Christ, who lived a perfect life in our place, died the horrible death WE deserved on our behalf, was raised from the dead, gave us the Holy Spirit, and will return for us one day.

Don’t take Salvation advice from any one except JESUS it just might cost you your eternity. The young man asked Jesus what must I do to be saved?he replied BELIEVE on the lord and thou shalt be saved.

Long story short Salvation is a gift from god that no one can earn through works, Salvation is by GRACE THROUGH FAITH AND NOT OF WORKS SO THAT NO MAN CAN BOAST.
