2023 Haval H6 DHT-PHEV in-depth Walkaround

Haval has unveiled a third powertrain option for the recently launched third-generation H6 mid-size SUV, with the new plug-in hybrid (PHEV) impressing with its outputs and electric-only driving range.

The H6 PHEV comes with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine mated to a DHT electric hybrid transmission and an electric motor with a 34kWh ternary lithium battery delivering an all-electric range of 200km (NEDC). The charging time is 35 minutes for DC fast charging (0-80%) and 6 hours for AC home charging (0-100%).

While its maximum torque is the same as the Hybrid, the PHEV’s peak power is 61kW higher, at 240kW, making it harder-hitting than the performance-focused Volkswagen Tiguan R (235kW).

The H6 PHEV comes with advanced features such as firmware over-the-air (FOTA), voice command, the GWM app (which allows users to connect and control a variety of their car's functions remotely), intelligent adaptive cruise control (Intelligent ACC), traffic jam assist (TJA), three modes of integrated smart parking (IIP), auto-reversing assistance (ARA), auto emergency braking and intersection (AEBI), rear cross-traffic brake (RCTB), wisdom dodge system (WDS), emergency lane keeping (ELK) and secondary collision mitigation (SCM).
