Miserlou is a masterpiece that has been recorded and covered by more artist than almost any other song. I like Dick Dale's version and this version equally.
Both have the same sound, but one is energetic, and this one is relaxing and more exotic sounding. Hence the term exotica.

Martin Denny is an idol. I grew up on my parents' albums. And Martin sticks out in my mind more than any. I love his piano and composing of original jungle jazz. And soothing to the soul. Then we moved to Hawaii, ourselves, in 1968. Aloha!
