Hey all thanks for watching! Just a clarification, even set at 68 degrees the air coming out was so hot it could fry a turkey. We tried max temp, but when it’s this cold it made no difference. Air temp isn’t an issue, it’s where that hot air is directed.

Fake vents on the inside now. This is getting out of hand

It's so nice you can work with your father Cherish the time together, I've lost my dad and only wish I could ride one more time with him .

My 4runner had heating elements along the bottom of the windshield as well as the vertical edge on the drivers side. Never iced up here in North east Canada

Wait until you try to drive at night in the snow. The LED lights get covered in snow and get really dim. Combine that with the crappy defrost and it makes a scary canyon drive. This problem is in the JL wrangler as well.

I just watched your Jeep e torque video and now this one. I wanted a Rubicon but no longer. Thanks saving me a lot of regret.

Bringing back the CJ5 days, when you needed an ice scrapper for the inside of the windshield.

Paying top dollar and they can't even get the defrost correct? So dumb

That will chew up your wiper blades too

Just a tip. You can in the right conditions not use your wipers at all in a snowstorm. It works only below around 27 degrees, no road spray, mag chloride, etc, and dry snow. 1. Freeze your windshield. Use defrost without heat. 2.Clean the windshield of ice build-up with an ice scraper. 3. Keep the heat inside at a lower setting, floor vent only. A towel over your defrost vents is sometimes necessary to keep any heat off of your windshield. The snow will just bounce off your windshield. Drive long enough, and the snow will polish your windshield clean.

Poor guys just can’t seem to catch a brake with car troubles.

That’s the difference between design and engineering.
Design makes it look nice.
Engineering makes it all work!

You'd think with how many Jeeps get sold here in Canada, they'd know how to make a working defroster. That's pretty inexcusable.

For us in New England, this is a HUGE issue because we get a lot of ice. Hope Jeep deals with the ASAP

Although I feel bad for all the issues you've been having, I love that you guys are calling out these makers! All the vehicles you've had problems with are very expensive...and packed with tech. Vehicles get overloaded with new tech, and as result more things are prone to break, and reliability goes down. It's like they're focusing so hard on getting you all the newest features, they forgot to make sure they defrosters still do their job. Makes you think twice before buying a new car.

Atleast it hasn't broken like the landrover

I have had that problem in every semi I’ve driven in 28 year career. High heat and full fan is all you can do. It’s partially due to the very upright windshield

I don't know if your manual says this, but in my Cherokee Trailhawk's manual it says to only use defrost to clear windshield and then immediately change to floor. It supposedly prevents the freeze up on the windshield. I live in Winnipeg, and it works for me.

Same thing happened to us in our 2019 Rubicon on on Sunday. Two hours in light snow and we had to pull over and crack the ice off the wipers.

Been driving Jeep wrangler in Canada for 30 yrs...ALWAYS been a problem...absolutely unbelievable that jeep still can't figure this out. Been driving thru storms where the windshield wipers actually broke off due to snow/ice accumulation...you hit the nail on the head here..it's a safety issue.
