What is the Best Security Camera System?

"What is the best security camera system" is a question that we hear every day at CCTV Camera Pros. This video talks about the questions that we ask customers to help them decide. Perhaps the most important question is whether or not there is an existing security camera system in place already or if this is a new installation.

If this is a new system installation or if there is network cable (CAT5e or CAT6) already installed, then we highly recommend our Viewtron AI security camera systems which are IP camera based.

If you are on a tight budget, we also have non-AI IP camera systems.

If you have existing coax cable in place for BNC cameras, then we ask if it is cheap pre-made cables or RG59 Siamese cable from a spool. The reason that we ask this is because most of the cheaper pre-made cables supplied in older systems from QSEE, Night Owl, Samsung and others is too thin to support the latest 4K BNC security cameras. And we would recommend replacing that cable with network cable for a IP camera system.

If your existing coax cable is RG59 and it is in good working condition, then we would recommend our Viewtron 4K BNC camera systems.

If you are on a tighter budget, then you can go with a 1080p BNC system.

Obviously, there are sometimes other factors to consider, which is why most of the camera systems that CCTV Camera Pros supplies are custom. For example, if you need license plate recognition, then you must use a true LPR camera like this one.
