The strange object in the storm video from Perth like a spider trying to climb up its web to get back to the underside of the gutter or eaves. Forced perspective and not being able to see the web due to darkness etc would make you think it was something larger and further away. Just a thought

First one...gotta say there's something wrong there. The driver clearly got a good look at the figure that was apparently crossing the road. But at the moment of impact (or just before), he turned his head away. If you thot you were seeing someone run right out in front of you, wouldn't you be staring in horror, or at least attempting to slow down? You wouldn't give it a casual glance, then turn your head away...

0:55 The figure in the 1st video looks more like it's attempting to dodge a vehicle approaching from the other direction more than it seems to be darting into the bike's path.
The head is turned to its left and the steps taken are the beginning of a run/escape attempt away from, not towards to. Even the hands leave the pockets to subconsciously direct the body out of instinct.
