Toward the end of this segment on living on campus, a student remarks that he will probably be friends for life with some of the people he is living with on campus. Through the internet I remain in touch with four of my former roommates from Founders and Anderson. I am 74 now! Class of 1970! :-)

Missing my alma mater right now! I lived in Anderson my freshman year (though I was not a music student), Founders 2nd year, Melrose 3rd year, Anderson again for first semester of senior year, then Grossmont, then briefly in Cortner (senior year was rough lol).

My four years in Melrose were some of the best years of my life.

U of R is a school for the B minus children of the upper middle class. It has no name recognition beyond the Inland Empire, and will not open any doors for you. If all you're seeking is a plain vanilla degree and money is no object, then Redlands will do, but so will dozens of other liberal arts colleges. Do not go into debt to attend Redlands. Rather look at state universities which will offer an education as good or better, & cheaper. It does have a pretty campus, though.

Redlands was once an amazing family centered and fiscally conservatively managed city. The democrats and Pete Aguilar have seen to it to reverse the prosperity of our city while enriching himself and his close supporters at the expense of the tax payers. This is a common theme with democrats throughout California and the nation.

Call the city and ask what our collective deficit is currently. Good luck in getting a straight answer.

Redland can no longer call itself a city that works. We now have become the city of Bell.

Fight for what you love or it goes away.
