What a wonderful thing you said, Lee. No “are you happy”. What a wise and beautiful soul you are.

You are a good man Leland. You have an open heart and an open mind. That is something we need in this world.

I feel like it’s 1970 and I’m 16 again, memorizing the liner notes of my favourite records and suddenly you look up from the jacket and start telling me about the session and how the magic happened❤️
I’m so thankful for your time and spirit Lee.
And thanks for helping me to FINALLY learn the proper pronunciation of some of these beautiful cats...Ladanyi, Doerge, et al

Thank you so very much for your comments about your transgender friend. I an transgender, I transitioned 20 years ago. As a trans bass player I found musicians to be the most accepting group that I have encountered. In fact I many of my friends put on concerts, or played at fundraisers which resulted in my raising the money for my gender reassignment surgery. Comments like yours make all our lives easier. Bless you. ❤

You're a good man Lee! Tolerance is evolution! We all need more of that around us.

SHUCKS! Growing up in DC in 70's, Hall & Oates cemented their R&B cred with this tune! My teenage peers would have freaked out knowing the bass player was a long-haired white dude!👏🏾🙌🏾

Over the weekend, I lost a member of my family to addiction, he was only 23 yrs old. Yesterday, when you posted Phil Collins performance of Always, the song touched me straight to the core, I literally cried all day. Thank you for all you do and all you've given us.

The sidetracks in Lee’s monologues are the mainlines of his appeal. It is his constant generosity coupled with his body of work that so instantly connects with me: artist, friend, confidant and musical guru.

A pleasure listening to such a legend. Nothing pretentious, just reminiscing with his low key, informative presentation.,

There's just no way I could find the words to express the joy and inspiration I get from your videos. Thank you. You are amazing.

I think it's safe to say that Leland Sklar is an 'old soul.' Thanks for being a light in an increasingly dark world.

I'm glad you're doing these videos, now I can hear the bass clear to learn the parts the right way! Thank you!

Funfact: we have a guy in the Netherlands and his name is Jett Rebel. You should see this young man on stage mr. Sklar. Jett is a kind of Prince type. He invites drum and bass talents of the academy of music and then 3 guys tornado the stage in front of a 100k audience. You would love it! But also Hall and Oates. Jett went to them backstage at NorthSea Jazz, told them he was a huge fan, gave a CD of his own and now Hall and Oates and Jett make a comback record after 16 years of silence. Daryl Hall loves to play in the studio at Jetts home in a real small Dutch countryside town (I love nature Jett) and they speed up composition like a rocket, since Jett can play any instrument including drums. All the orher guys are slow said Hall, but you Jett, you are like lightning. You should see Jett Rebel live mr. Sklar, you would be amazed. And what will that new album be ...
