Vardø living the arctic life February 2018 vlog

Biotope vlog, February 2018: Vardø and Varanger is getting busy. Days are long and bright, people are kicksledding around, the local fisheries are buzzing with life, the seabirds are returning to Vardø by the tens of thousands and in Kiberg a new wind shelter is completed. It is starting to feel like spring in the arctic!

Great to see it all ramping up - even though it's a long haul :) It's a fantastic spectacle to have all those sea auks and gulls returning to snow - for us fair weather lot it's just so striking ;) If I don't make it this year it's going to have to be next!
