This was such a great episode, you could feel the tension. I actually said out loud to myself "what the fuck shiv". I haven't been that immersed in a television show in ages

Shiv made a biggest mistake by announcing it forcefully in front of the other family. Logan doesn’t like things pushed around. So this episode is basically a turning point in shiv journey to take over the family business.

Everyone including Logan knows Kendall is going to be the successor the moment it happens ironically will be when Kendall not Shiv gets up and says it. Logan found it insulting this Pierce Lady would demand Shiv be CEO infront of Kendall, I also don't think Logan was happy Kendall didn't stand up and advocate for himself it seemed like he backed off because he didn't want to pick a fight with Shiv he was being that coward he was prone to be in season one again. Notice Logan bangs the Helicopter to get Kendall's attention as he wears his sunglasses and stares at the floor. Kendall has learned to crush outsiders like Lawrence the Vaulter dude but he seems to be towing the line with his family just ignoring Roman's wise cracks and Shiv's overtures to become the family power broker. Also is this Pierce Lady even aware that Tom is married to Shiv lol.

We all know that Kendall is gonna be the successor. Hell, Kendall like many others watching the show is my favorite out of the Roy siblings. No way is power hungry newbie Shiv gonna take over, no way is delusional Conner who's "running for president" going to take over and no way is Roman is taking over who other than his redundant wise cracks knows nothing about the business. Kendall knows the ins and outs of the business and the fact that he was willing to pull a hostile takeover on Logan makes Logan respect that. He really is the unspoken successor heir to the company.

Kendall is under leash, he can't do anything, and he is expected to do what is being told. Kendall is toxic for the company after the humiliating attempt at the coup, he wouldn't be the first choice.
Shiv was the favourite at first but as time passes she is not only showing disrespect again and again towards her father, she also revealed how green she is. She is all theory without any experience, and yet claiming to be ready to be at the helm.
This is so typical of rookies, I see them everyday.
Shiv is falling out of favor, and Kendall is showing he has the right raw material for following his father's footsteps.
The one who seeks it won't get it, and the one who doesn't feel worthy will get it.

Btw, Logan wants to set the terms, he doesn't want anyone setting decisions for him. The moment Shiv said she was the chosen one, it is the moment she fell out of favor. Logan sets her, it is not the other way around. The double insult is when the counterproposal conditions the acquisition by requesting Shiv as the CEO.
If it was asked it could have been considered, but it was *demanded* and that is an insult, it puts him in a position of weakness and he doesn't want it.
That's why he was so nervous in the helicopter checking his phone, expecting them to beg him to acquire them... which took long enough to frustrate him on the helicopter but he finally got what he wanted when he finally got his phonecall when he landed, he would get the deal but without conditions, just * *fucking take the money * *
