Saint Markella's appearance to the priest from Psara Karagiorgis. The event took place at the monastery of St. Markella after Karagiorgis and the monk Arsenios got drunk and went to bed without prayer or thanks. Saint Markella would not let Karagiorgis sleep, pulling his sheets off of him at night. Karagiorgis got up woke up the monk Arsenios and held a paraklisis service. Karagiorgis subsequently made the promise to Saint Markella that he was going to to baptize John Katsigiorgis' (Psargiano) next child after the Saint. John Katsigiorgis had a previous child that he insisted on naming Mixhalis that died when it was about 3 months old. When John Katsigiorgis had another boy Karagiorgis insisted that his promise had to be kept and named the child Markello after Saint Markella.
