Mr. McMahon makes a groundbreaking announcement with the introduction of the Attitude Era.

I was fourteen in 1998. Perfect time of my life watching this era of WWF! Great memories of me and the fellas in school chatting away on a Tuesday excited of what happened on Raw the night before. Every month we would watch the PPV of the month at a friends house, everyone would chip in five, ten bucks so we could watch it and then have the next PPV at another friends house and so on. Crazy to think of how much of our lives were wrapped up in wrestling in those days but that's how big wrestling was in the late 90s and now I'm a 30 year old man who doesn't watch anymore but will still from time to time put on a Match from the 80s and 90s and re live my childhood.

And another thing, if you people want the WWE to change and get some attitude back than you have to stop watching the show in its current form.  I haven't watched an episode of WWE since 2009.  You have to stop supporting the show and especially stop buying products from the WWE.  It's all about money, you can control what they put on with your pocket books.  Stop watching the show and stop buying the merch.  Stop supporting the business.  If enough people do that, the WWE will surely change to get viewers back.

I remember watching this on TV some 25-30 years ago. Highly appreciative of how Vince addresses the fans here. Thus started the most radical era in sports entertainment, and brought about the Monday Night wars.
