Hey! Just wanted to thank you guys for this song! This brings back memories of days, WAY past.
When I was holed up in the basement, by myself at 3 a.m, in the dark. Only light was from the tv. And the sounds of skateboard wheels on concrete.
And this.
The soundtrack of my youth.
I was the outcast in my grade at school. The weird "rock/metal/punk-kid" who didn't fit in anywhere. And I didn't want to fit in either. At least not on terms, that weren't mine. I didn't care what my teachers and classmates said. I was going to be me, and if you don't like it. Fine then. You do you then and let's go on our 'merry own ways' and ignore each other in peace. I stuck by that.
And eventually I found people who felt the same way. Who I shared real connections with. People whom I am friends with to this very day. These people in the end paved the road to me finding my current finacé. Who blessed us with a beautiful son a month ago from writing this. I guess what I'm saying is. It's okay to feel left out and pissed about it. To feel like the people around you, don't understand you. And to feel completely alone in this world. We all do at times. But Just keep at it.
The bullshit can only hold you back so much before it gives. And in the end. You'll luck out. I'm sure of it.
