For those who don't know what Gyaru is, it's a Japanese originated fashion subculture that came from "rebelling" against Japanese social standards of beauty and conformity (clear pale skin, formal speak, straight dark hair, less revealing clothing, somewhat little makeup, ect).

This is so on another level. I remember putting hair chalk in my Barbie doll’s hair and acting like a professional hair stylist, while he’s over here making the most ✨GORGEOUS✨ dolls I’ve ever seen.

As a gyaru myself, she looks ABSOLUTLY STUNNING!

As a gyaru of 5 years, I think this doll is so cute!! One little nitpick tho, Gyaru is a subculture, not an aesthetic. Subcultures are closer to lifestyles while aesthetics are just that

I love how all of your dolls are painted with such care and love, yet there are so many different designs 🥺

What ive come to understand is that gyarus arent all these "provocative temptresses who are always playing around with men" as media would want you to assume. This is a very man-centered view and definitely the male gaze version of gyarus.
Gyaru as a style, (just like many j-fashion alternative styles) came to be becauae the japanese youth needed to break out from the strict rules imposed on them by their own society on what to wear and what to look like.
In japan, a girl who has black natural straight hair, a pale complexion and little to no make-up at all was(and still is) considered the beauty standard.
Gyarus went against this by tanning their skin, bleaching their hair and wearing the most outlandish makeup they could achieve.

Would have loved to have seen some of the gyaru staples in makeup such as a white nose stripe and faux droopy eyelid/prominent tear ducts 😃

The fact they can give a better haircut to a doll than most barber shops can cut real people's hair is the funniest thing I have seen all day

I adore watching you dye their hair, the result is always so gorgeous. The amount of work and care that goes into each of these dolls really shows.

that looks so cool! I think if she had blonde hair with bright blue ends it would bring out her skin and eyes a lot more. it is still so gorgeous

Just wanted to mention that gyaru has lots of substyles! Such as kogal (schoolgirl style), agejo (pink and frilly, my fav!), and manba (which takes some inspo from black styles, and has a tropical feel from what I’ve seen). A lot of people tend to view, and even mix, kogal and manba/yamanba, however there is so much more to gyaru than just those styles! It’s pretty similar to alt styles here in the US and other english speaking countries, so I encourage you to research gyaru styles for more info if you’d like!

A little a reminder that Gyaru has different subcultures and the masculine ver of Gyaru or if you identify as a boy it’s gyaruo and yes you can be a gyaruo and wear “girly” clothes or cross dress and still be gyaruo
Some of my fav Gyaru styles are hime, kogal, and haady
