These Ball-jointed dolls are SO CUTE! Although they have some annoying problems I think these are a really good value and really fun! Their designs are gorgeous, the colors are great, the articulation is cool and the clothing blew me away! Definitely looking out for the next dolls by this company... It will be difficult to top Ten Thousand Escape Plans, I think...

I was so excited when I found the red one on Ali for a super low price, but so disappointed when I noticed the stringing issues you mentioned... I disassembled her and covered the concave parts of all her joints with a thin coat of hot glue, that I then evened out with my heat gun. I restrung her a bit tighter, and she can now take and keep any pose amazingly well! I didn't even need to reinsert the wires in her legs. I 100% agree that this isn't for everyone, though. I much prefer dolls that pose well right out of the box!

Another thing I wanted to note is that I replaced her long heavy wig with a shorter Nendoroid one. I'm not sure all of them would be compatible, but some are!

I haven't finished the video yet, so maybe you figured it out, but the ball-like hand pieces are meant to help when putting sleeves on: a way to remove the hands without loosing the elastic string.

Going back to watching now... It's so cool to see all the other members of the group! Thank you so much for presenting this type of dolls!

I’m so glad that am you shared these. I had wanted them before they were released but they’re not as cute as the promo images had me expecting. The eyes in particular. I’m relieved to see what their like.

I love these. I got three of them and my sock for the blue nurse was almost completely faded. Your looks so much more vibrant!
To fix the hair i cut the plastic that came to protect their face in half and stuffed each piece into the hair pockets and that seemed to work for me.

yeah i agree with you on the skin tone thing, ive decided to only consider buying any of these if there's at least 2 characters in the lineup with dark skin. sadly this means ill be saving a lot of money because these companies seem to refuse to make any characters with darker skin.

Also, I think due to the production process of dolls, some may require higher cost of production with doll having darker skin tone, but I definitely think their should be chance for dolls with darker skin color being created (as many of them are not limited editions so I think it is sth. corporations could acheive, and hopefully more company can be able to do this in the future)

Omg I got these awhile back and I will agree with the loose strings are annoying. I think the paint inside of the shoes annoys me the most! I found putting paint sealant helps, but my brush can’t get certain corners. Xie Xing has an alternate colored doll that has tan skin if you’re interested and she’s very pretty. I completely agree the rabbit ears annoy me too. Thinking of hot glueing but I’m worried about ruining the paint. I bought the hidden doll and I will warn she was very difficult to dress. ALSO! Your Yue Mian has the blue and white stripped sock! Lucky!

If youre interested I'd really recommend the Nagi 3rd generation dolls. I have them and they're so cute. They're not strung and actually have pretty nice articulation (in my opinion).

Needless to say was really glad for a video today but these dolls are not for me, so glad you are so honest about the flaws on these dolls. I bought 3 of the first ones you posted the School Days ones I believe they were, the ones with Weirdo in the line, I got the Green, Purple and Black and White dolls. One of the hands came off of one and it took forever to get the little hook in place to get the hand back on, I was near crazy. So yep saving money here, would sooner get a Blythe for 30 bucks off Amazon Japan, they are a lot less stressful lol. Thank you for the great review, you do detail so well.

The little pegs are dressing hands! They make putting on sleeves much easier.

Loved this. I have the wolf girl Quiet wilderness. I was a little taken aback by the chemical smell she gave off, but it aired out after a few day's. She is very lose stringed but I am too scared to restring. I am fairly new to bjd's. But I love her regardless. Definitely not beginner friendly dolls. ❤but they are stunning and I truly hope their next release will be more polished.

Out of curiosity, how are you learning Chinese? College course, online class, private tutor, ect?? Are you learning Mandarin? and oh my, these dolls are cute, I like the more teen/mature body they went with for this line. 🥰 I'm going to bite the bullet one day soon and order some bjd from Kikagoods, I've been eying them for ages, especially the centaurs.
