I have been SO excited to finally finish this!! Worth every second.
Here is a little rundown of the story shown: Jay once led a peaceful life with her father and brother, when they were attacked by a pack led by a past enemy of her father - leading to his death and Jay's brother carrying her to safety but then getting separated. Further along in her adult life, she meets and foolishly falls in love with Baltazar. Having broken her heart, she leaves the area only to be found by her father's enemy, who has been tracking her since she escaped him as a pup. He is after the collar...for some reason...
She tries to escape through the ice and snow but is eventually corned and a fight ensues. Using her experience and fierce temper, she is able to scare off the weaker members of the pack and the pair battle. She barely survives the fight and is luckily found before she bleeds out.

And just to make sure you know - Baltazar (the grey dog) belongs to Skaillart!
