Suddenly realised that since this civilisation requires you to fight your way to survive, character Evbo has no idea what a genuine connection with someone is like

Evbo chasing after that girl is just his way of wanting to make a friend instead of actually wanting to have a girlfriend, since that girl is the one person he found himself liking and trusting

Since he’s never experienced this feeling he immediately jumped to the conclusion that she is his girlfriend, since that was his first time actually having positive emotions towards someone (and also why he’s so desperate for her to be his “girlfriend”, since he have always wanted to have a connection with someone)

That also explains why he records himself every day, since it gives the illusion that he’s actually connecting with someone out there

So all this character Evbo ever wanted was just a friend, someone he can form a connection with
