A good rule of thumb when using spray paint cans, you will get the best results if you get some hot water and let the can sit in it to heat up the paint and of course shake the can very well, the paint will spray more evenly. 👍

In the past my lemon 19 trd pro I just pried off the letters, replaced with a color of my choice after self etching priming and painting black with rust oleum pro flat black while on the vehicle. My current 4runner I did lots of painters tape steps to make it match my 40th edition. I look forward to finally get it on once we get a dry weekend.

I noticed you left one bolt in while painting it. Probably for anyone doing this remove all the bolts or leave them all in so it matches.

You can buy a black one now and get them in red or black letters. Although if you’ve already got one 🤷‍♂️ I’d probably have it powder coated or bed line it instead of rattle cannin it.
