Wrestler Sakshee Malikkh's first reaction after chargesheet against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh

Wrestler Sakshee Malikkh has responded to the chargesheet filed against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, the former Chief of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of Parliament (MP). Malikkh expressed her reaction in light of the chargesheet and highlighted the significant pressure faced by the family involved in the case concerning a minor. She further mentioned that their decision on the future course of action would be based on the government's response to their remaining demands.

The Delhi Police had previously lodged one FIR against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, which encompassed the complaints of six female wrestlers. However, the recently filed chargesheet individually details each case, incorporating the findings and evidence collected during the investigation. According to police sources, Singh has been charged with allegations of sexual harassment made by all six complainants. The charge of stalking pertains to one complainant, while the charge of molestation is applicable to two female wrestlers.

One of the complainants claimed that Singh made her speak to his mother during a tournament and later gave her a "fatherly hug" after calling her to his room. She further alleged that Singh persistently called her on her mother's phone number after she returned home, using various pretexts. To evade Singh's calls, she even had to change her phone number. The chargesheet sheds light on these incidents, including an episode of stalking that dates back to 2012.
