New Notion Feature: Tabs!

Notion just released a great quality-of-life feature: Tabs in the desktop apps (MacOS and Windows).

You can now open multiple tabs in your desktop app, and those tabs can even be within different workspaces.

Here are some helpful keyboard shortcuts to remember:

- Cmd/Ctrl + T - Create a new tab
- Cmd/Ctrl + 1,2,3 (etc) - Switch to an existing tab
- Cmd/Ctrl + Click - Open link in a new tab
- Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + N - Open a new Notion window
- Right-Click a Tab → Move to New Window

Good stuff.
Keep in mind: the Mac and PC clients are just wrappers around web apps, so, like Chrome tabs, these extra tabs can use up a lot of memory.
So remember to prune them, keep them to a minimum.
Also: quit Notion at least once a day or so, to free up memory, especally if you're storing a lot of files, graphics.

Cool and all but using the Website made into a separate shortcut that opens like an app is still necissary because the App doesn't support Ctrl + Scroll wheel to zoom in and out to change the font size. It's like they assume your deck, chair, monitors and all applications will be completely sacrificed so you can get the right distance to properly their specific font size.
All Web Browsers support Ctrl + Scroll wheel by default and it's why I still use the Web version.

Notion feels like an operating system now

One thing that notion should fix that would help a lot filtering the databases is the week advanced filter. I use notion as a planner and when I want only to see what I have for this week I always see through 7 days and that menas I also see what is in the next week not only this one. I don’t know if you can do that using formula, but they should adjust that over filtering in my opinion.

nice. but there is a way to ensure that when I reopen it there are all the tabs already open before(like on the browser). because otherwise I have to reopen them all every times

Finally the desktop app has some added functionality. All they need to do is add google and you have a web browser! 😂

Is there a way to set the default page that opens when you open a new tab? I have 3 workspaces on my account and a new tab always opens on a random page in my 3rd workspace.

I'm on the notion for Mac app...but I don't seem to see the option. Any Ideas?

How could we move the tabs left or right? Grabbing doesn't seem to work like in Chrome browser.
