My copy of Patterns of Fashion 5 just arrived in the mail all the way from the School of Historical Dress in London and I am so excited to share it with you! This is the much sought after latest volume in the series by Janet Arnold that contains patterns for bodies, stays, hoops, and rumps c. 1695 - 1795. It is a wealth of information, with detailed photos of extant garments, period portraiture, construction notes, and more. I will be using one of the patterns from this book as the basis of my 18th century stays, the next step in my 18th Century Gown project!
