Your garden is so lush and beautiful. 😍
I live in zone 9b also, and your garden is an inspiration. We plant mostly succulents and cacti, and drought tolerant plants outside, because water conservation is important to us. However I think we should plant more flowers to brighten up the garden a bit .

Thank you so much for a marvelous garden tour. God bless you and your loved ones.
Greetings from the Bay area 🌸🌹😍

Now that the low AZ desert zone 9b temps are around 105 to 107 instead of 111 and above I see my plants getting greener and healthier! Your plants and flowers are looking so beautiful. Everything seems to be so much more full . They are just gorgeous! I would LOVE to have such a lush and entertaining garden as yours. I love how colorful it is!!!

I'm Liz too! And also in zone 9b. I sure enjoy looking at your pretty garden. My poor yard has struggled more than I can fix. The heat has ruined my yard this year. I'm ready to just give up and pull everything out and prune the rest. I am now researching drip irrigation for next year. I am burnt out on hand watering. To many hours spent watering daily. I am enjoying seeing utube videos of gardens that survived the heat,

👋🏼 I know it’s not part of the video LOL but can we get a closer look at your birdhouses and sunflower door? Love it!

The passion flower is a beauty and a beast of lush green vines It's evergreen and it should keep its leaves unless you get frost. Does that happen in zone 9b? I know I get frost in 8b.
The Autumn Joy is fun succulent, after the spectabile is finished blooming you can cut the stem and propagate the cuttings and it will grow. Sedum will handle a freeze with snow.
They look like little cabbages when they pop out in the spring, They are a true garden warrior.
I lost all my hens and chickens and stone crop succulents in the heat wave as well. The only ones that survived were my Eve's needle they're pretty hardy and you can also cut and propagate the stems.
So now I'm doing the same with Easter lily cacti and small golden barrels and the variegated and an artichoke agave.
Oh you are right on that one Liz they are spend-y. little plants.

Your garden is always dazzling it's absolutely gorgeous with all blazing brilliant flora.
If you have a moment look up Dichondra (silver falls) it's very similar to creeping jenny. Drought tolerant, and a pollinator magnet. You may have fun planting the seeds it has both creeping and draping habits.
Happy gardening and be sure to have a blessed day.

So glad the temperature has gone down. You have so much color and the arbors look amazing. Your petunias and hanging baskets still look so healthy. I do like the layout of your garden and the tub. Have a great weekend. 👍👍👏👏👏👏

Hi, Liz. I am envious of your sweet potato vine. Mine was going gang-busters and then the grasshoppers found it. Now the gorgeous leaves have holes all over. At the plant center, they suggested spraying it the mint water. I'm going to give that a try. 🤞🤞🤞

Everything looks beautiful. I ordered some purple Queen Ann's lace, red hot poker, and purple mallow seeds for next year.😊 we always need annuals for color. I learned how to collect seeds from my impatients this year too! Yes my zinnias always flop. I stopped growing them because they always get that white mold on them, but they are very pretty.

Your garden is looking so bright, pretty & colourful Liz. You’re entering the fall and here in Australia we’re entering our Spring. So looking forward to the warmer weather. It’s been wet, cold, frosty & cloudy this winter. Hardly any sun! I think it must be global cooling not global warming. At least in my part of the world anyways. Weather is always changing and I’m pleased to say I have hope that one day everything will be perfect. 😊

Your garden looks so nice and clean. We haven’t seen your roommate lately. He is the one that loved the chickens. I hope he is still helping you. He seems like a nice guy.❤❤❤

Hi Liz. Your garden survived the heat beautifully! So many of my plants didn’t survive the heat. I have just given up, but seeing your garden I feel encouraged to keep trying. I am leaning toward more annuals also. Thanks so much for sharing ❤
