I absolutely love how this video showed various experiences. Children typically don't immediately take to their new parents, although those are the videos that get the most attention. These children are placed in the arms of strangers. They are confused, scared, and experiencing abandonment all over again as they are taken away from the only people and home they have ever known. It can be traumatizing. While eventually there is usually a happy ending, the first few days, week, and even months can be incredibly challenging for the child and for the parents. It's not all rainbows and sunshine. Thanks you for showing this side of adoption and normalizing these experiences.

Ever since I was 17yo I always knew that I wanted to adopt one day, I'm now 25yo still not ready financially nor am i married or have a partner and never was... I can't wait to meet someone that shares the same hope as me.. I'd absolutely love to have kids on my own but I just can't wait to embrace and adopt a beautiful innocent child one day ❤ although the rules and concept of adoption is a bit different for my religious view it still an amazing gift of God for both the parents and the child
