Tested: Grand Touring All-Season Tires Winter Performance | Tire Rack

Remember the guy in high school who seemed to be good at everything? Grand Touring All-Season Tires are expected to be that guy. But tires from this category are not specialized enough to be the best in any one subject. So to be a success, they need to at least stand out across the board (including in winter's snow, slush and ice).

Is one of the four tires in this test the perfect fit?

Hi, can I use H rated General Altimax RT43 instead of V that my car manufacturer recommends (205/65R15 92V)? I am trying to decide between Altimax RT43 and the V-rated kumho Solus TA71. I live in NY & these tires will go on an old Hyundai, so I will not be driving aggressively or fast. I am wondering if going for a H- Altimax is ok or should I go for the V-rated Kumhos.

How does the winner of this test compare to the GT tires from Michelin, Continental and Pirelli?
