What means in Greek slang - Άσε τα σάπια | LearnGreekviaTalking

and today I am going to tell you what means in Greek slang : «Άσε τα σάπια». It contains three words. Άσε which is the abbreviated version of άφησε, the imperative of the verb αφήνω which means “to let go”, “to drop”. Τα σάπια is an adjective, σάπιος - σάπια - σάπιο which means rotten. Basically this expression is asking someone to leave the rotten words. in English you my translate this as “save me from the excuses”. So, let’s have a look at an example; Το ξέρω δεν με αγαπάς, I know you don’t love me, Άσε τα σάπια. and another one; Δεν θα κάνεις ποτέ δίαιτα, you will never go on a diet. Άσε τα σάπια.
