To everyone trying to defend her methods, sorry but no. Studies on learning habits show that people learn faster when they're happy and relaxed. They are more likely to have poor outcomes under excessive stress. And yes, you might want to say, "What about tiger mothers?" The price paid is that the kids usually have emotional problems and end up thinking that emotional abuse in the name of success is justified.

It's a survival show what did you guys expect? They probably asked her to be strict on them to pressure the trainees and the viewers cus in the end of the day it's a competition. You think Lisa hasn't experience that herself? She's mentioned in the past how tough it was with her mentors. They were extremely strict. This isn't some school talent show, their future is at stake here

To be fair, Lisa did say repeatedly to smile. Lisa may have been strict, but that's what she knows because she had a tough mentor in her trainee years. Also, Lisa truly knows what being an idol is like. If you have no facial expressions, you get hate. That girl probably would've been eaten alive by knetz. Yes, Lisa had been a little too strict, but she was trying to help the girl. Just my opinion.
