May I point out rule 11.5b or the IRB Law. It clearly states that the ball is NOT knocked on if the ball is ripped or bumped from a player's grip, and falls forward. Which happened in this scenario. Ball got ripped from Mbonambi's grip, and fell forward. Thus, no knock-on. Mbonambi then grounded the ball with a part of the ball being behind the line, warranting a try. Try stands.
