Get to Know the Great Egret

Today, great egrets serve as a conservation success story.

Egrets are truly amazing animals. They're understanding and just beautiful.

I love these birds i have a family living in my backyard every morning they perch on our dock or they are at the edge of the lake on the other side or our side. When i wale up early i look foward to seeing the egrets! Ive seen a wood stork great blue heron Anhinga and other lake birds and dont get me started with the geese their loud all morning 😂 they laid their eggs and the gooslings are growing so fast ❤

What an amazing history. Had no idea of the threat in the name of fashion. I am privileged to have the opportunity to see these majestic birds during my walks along the way in a local park. I grateful I have also been able to capture their beauty on camera. They are something to behold in person.

There's one that is always at my park in Mission, Texas. We have a large pond at the park with plenty of ducks, geese, and a Great Egret. I love going to that park to exercise because of the beautiful wildlife there!
