Dear Vikings fans, You got a good one in Kevin. He's a culture guy and will be able to work with the players to get the most out of them. I'm not happy to lose him, but at least he's going to a good place. Cheers, From a Rams fan.

I aint gonna lie. I'm very disappointed we didn't get Harbaugh. For me, its a HUGE letdown, with so much build up/anticipation, and then nothing/dud. O'Connell better be good. The only way I stay mad is if I find out they didn't hire Harbaugh over money.

Something I've learned as a 30 year viking fan is we never get what we want or what we expect.

What is Phil’s infatuation with Willis? Is it not way better to draft one of the best corner this year (a position that we desperately need to renew as well) and draft a QB in a better class next year? Don’t reach for a QB, have a bridge QB. I get that your never guaranteed to draft the QB you want but give yourself a better chance at a larger pool of higher quality QBs.

This is the guy I wanted from the jump when I heard all the possible candidates. Having a young offensive coach is something I am excited for!

To all the people honing in on “no play calling” aspect. He’s being hired to galvanize the players and manage the flow of the game. He and Kwesi can bring in a viable OC to call plays.

Ya'll need to relax on Kirk. People act like Kirk is out there throwing 30 Int's and 10 TD's, Christian Ponder level things. Kirk nearly won us several games this season, but thanks to Zim's swiss cheese Defense, we lost to none other than Super Bowl Bengals...STFU with Kirk discussion already. Yes he's a 45 mil cap hit, but we are built to win now. We restart now, we waste all the talent we have.

Have we given up on Mond? I don’t trust Zimmer’s thoughts on Mond.

Why is Mond automatically out of the equation? Do I think he's the next best thing no but he did have some damn impressive games as a QB in the SEC. One in particular against Burrow winning in OT. It was a wild game but a fun one that Mond never gave up in

Ben Leber, said it right on the money: the Vikes were just plain doing their due diligence, with regards to Harbaugh.

so O'Connel was cheaper than Harbaugh....

Had Staley not called that stupid timeout, all McVay’s former coaches would have been in the playoffs this year.

interesting. complete culture transformation. o'connell does not possess an impressive resume but that does not mean he cannot do it. calculated personnel moves will be a Must. we must accumulate picks and cap money and 23/24 could be real special. o'connell choice for OC will be interesting.

Rookie GM + rookie HC = a whole lot of anxiety for me

This is some crap. I'm over this team. Kwesi's gotta be already wondering, "why am I here?"

Love the update. There’s some cohesion developing here. Coordinators will tell the tale 😏

O'Connell was my personnel favorite. It fits with a new, fresh and added youth movement for the next High Speed Vikings on the way. I can't wait to Jefferson lining-up all over the field, passing on first down, jet sweeps and allowing Kellon Mond to develop. I feel like everyone has dismissed Mond. With lot's of movement and a need for speed you may well be surprised.

Recently watched four like the third time, a film biography on Brady. First year, practice squad. Play suched. Spent major time in the film room. More then the coaches did. Was not at all ready to start. Over the last 30 years, there are more hall of fame quarterbacks who didn't start right away. The lesson is, don't start a QB until their ready. Have to realise that even if they draft a QB this year, he may not be ready to start. Year Brady was drafted, Patriots had four QB on there roster.
