Horse rescued from water filled ditch in Delta, BC

Oct 17th 2016 - 10650 59th Ave just before noon
Delta Fire Rescue & Police Dept were called to assist with a horse that was trapped in a water-filled ditch. At one point the water level was rising and the horse was almost submerged and an urgent call went out to get water pumps to the scene ASAP to pump the water out as they work on the rescue. A veterinary Dr as well as other support services were also called to the scene. Also multiple rescuers were treated by paramedics due to the cold water they were working in. It appears that the horse is doing ok.
