Excellent analysis Mike Florio. Im a Dolphins fan and sickened that Grier and Ross fired Flores shameful. Flores was exactly what the Fins needed tough love and discipline and he was successful.

In most cases you are right about getting rid of both the coach and gm but flores was not the problem its that bum GM Chris Grier

Dumb move, although they did have a pretty stacked lineup, the line was just not good, a team going 8-1 or whatever down the stretch says a lot about the coach tbh.

I’m calling hypocrisy here on Mike and Charean. Jerry Jones is constantly mocked for his involvement but because Stephen Ross is the opposite, Jerry’s approach is the right one?

I disagree. A gm could bring in all the best players but if the coach is mishandling them the coach should be fired without the gm. Not saying that’s the case with Miami but I don’t see a problem with a coach being fired and gm not being fired

I thought Serena Williams was a minority owner on the Miami Dolphins. Being a athlete herself seems like she could tell the team was going on the right direction under Flores

Second most absurd firing behind AJ Smith firing Marty after a 15-1 season...

Florio hit the nail on the smallest part of it's head. Perfect analysis, and exactly what I feel as a Fins lifer

After firing Coach Flores The Dolphins will be rebuilding for the next 10-20 years

Ever since Ross bought the Dolphins, they've been a joke = HE'S THE PHUCKING PROBLEM.

Sad part is the dolphins will build around Tua for the next 3 years. The new coach will get fired and we'll look up and it'll be 5 years into a middle of the pack QB wishing we had just got Watson. Sad times on the horizon

As a Patriots fan, I’m happy to see this. As a a football fan, WTF?

Great commentary. Tuanon has to be one of the stupidest phrases I've ever heard in my life, though. Even if he's not a franchise QB, all you need is a good QB to be playoff contenders. We don't have to look much further than Tanne.

Thank you, Mike Florio, for pointing out what fellow Dolphins fans can not handle hearing about this team.

Flores will be hired again very soon !

I’m a Miami fan and loved Flores but he’s also the guy who thought co-o coordinators was a good idea. He could never figure out the o and would go on crazy cold steaks despite our talent.

Forget about not getting the QB right. Nobody could have been any good with the worst rated Oline which is his fault for getting rid of all the solid veterans on it. Guy lost the locker room at the beginning of the season. Not a big loss

Flores essentially had the same record as Gase did and at least Gase had a playoff appearance during his tenure.

Stop trying to cry wolf for a guy who had a losing record and in his final year started 1-7 before going on a hot streak of beating bad teams until New England in week 17.

Thank you for coming heavy at Stephen Ross, Mike. As a Dolphins fan, I hope he gets the message.
