I surprised my 34 year old daughter to a mummy daughter date and booked tickets to see the Little Mermaid. She was so excited when she realised what our date was. My daughter had the original movie when she was a toddler and watched it over and over...I even know the script and the words to the songs hearing it been played so much! Day's before the movie I found myself singing Part of his world and would just start crying, feeling nostalgic, recalling how little she was and how time has flown.I thought oh no, I'm going to be a mess when this song comes on in the cinema! Sure enough, I was, but then so was my daughter, it just brought so many memories back to her too. Now we have that memory to look back on, crying then laughing at ourselves too🙂
We were a right pair!
The movie was amazing, kept close to the original and was a visual feast.
Halle was a good choice, her speaking voice and singing was second to none..
