Olga Smirnova - Odile variation, Swan Lake

This is original music for the Black Swan written by Tchaikovsky. It is part of the Pas-de-six in which Odile participated just after her arrival in the ball in the first version. Note the malevolent character of the music, giving psychological depth to Odile's character and the use of the oboe, which is the instrument associated with the white swan, both in the introduction of the first and second acts and in Odete's first appearance, functioning as a kind of "instrument-motiv".

Phenomenon height and presence
Whoever might be trying to exceed her performance must be taking a lot of Maalox ( heartburn antacid liquid ) after watching this. Raising the Barr has always produced achievers but jumping over the stratosphere is really difficult !
At any rate - she like many of today is simply spectacular !

Why every time I see & watch the ballet dancer from Russia even the medium skill level is already very good. The energy, gracious, elegant and the body language are always incredible and I always enjoy watching them. But soloists such as Osipova, Zhakarova, Barisnikov etc etc extremely too good. I wonder what the sacrifice and the training they take to get that level. Sorry my ignorance about ballet.
