Expanding the infrastructure to support electric vehicles (EVs) is a major component of efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the transportation sector. Under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, for example, states will spend $7.5 billion over the next five years on EV charging infrastructure. The systems needed to plan, fund, install, and manage this infrastructure require the coordination of many public and private sector entities. Join us for a conversation about the expansion of EV infrastructure, state-level plans, opportunities for cross-sector collaboration, and socioeconomic implications for communities. Speakers will be announced soon.
The conversation will be webcast on the Climate Conversations: EV Infrastructure webpage on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 from 3-4pm ET. Closed captioning will be provided. The conversation will include questions from the audience and will be recorded and available to view on the page after the event.
