Toyota 4Runner - Exhaust Tip Installation and Sound Comparison

While waiting to buy a proper exhaust, I decided to install just the the exhaust tip.

No HP gained but a better sound in my opinion!

ok for everyone saying it didn’t change the sound it actually did, it made it just sound a little deeper n more sporty. when driven it would sound different

Muffled the sound a bit to sound more sporty than loud. Headphones were used

The bigger the tip the more echo the smaller the less echo, they work like a megaphone 📣

It makes loud cars quiet and makes quit cars louder.

I have the exact same tip on the same cat just a different set up. I threw it out the side. Mines actually loud tho and it’s a v6 Fs but it’s decent. Still got some high pitch but that’s where the tip comes in

I bought this same one last week and mine definitely doesn't slide on as easily as yours. I couldn't even get it on at all. Wound up returning it.

What year is your 4runner? Did you have to trim the original exhaust tip for the aftermarket tip to fit?

Sounds the same slight difference but it’s also gonna have a slight difference if you put a paper cup on it

I would rather have this than have the whole muffler changed with a silencer. Not too loud and sound modified.

straight piping will give the best sound change. If you don’t wanna do all they you can just unbolt the pipe right before the cats

i have tuning exhaust but with poor sound. do you think it can little help ? may combination exhoust and end dc pipe should help?

You have an exhaust leak coming from your your manifold, id start there.
