I'm a poweruser and programmer, but this had me stumped for weeks. I was getting the "server execution failed" error. The MS solutions did not work, tried various things and the first utility you offered did the trick. Not sure why the official MS page dosent just point people there instead of putting in complicated fixes that dont fix anything.

Hey Britec, I have been trying for 2 days to get my WMP 12 back, and while viewing this video, I tried to get the Fix win v1.2 downlaoded and after several failed attempts(thanks to Malwarebytes) I was able to fix my WMP 12 and get it back. Now if I could only find out how I lost it!!!Thank you so very much

You are the man, excellent video. I love the player. You are such an expert and I have not seen anyone so advanced at the WMP. I am using Window 7 also and I was unable to use WMP11. The WMP12 has a couple things I don't like. I can't use the Advanced Tag Editor. Maybe you know where they put it. The other thing is they are now charging for GFORCE. It was free on WMP11. Again, you make the best videos.

Thanks for your video. You are the man, master at this subject. I fixed my favorite application using your advice. I love the WMP. Although, I have not been able to edit the tags using WMP12. In WMP 11 I could use the advanced tab and add lyrics to the mp3's. Maybe you will solve that in a future video, or tell use it has been lost in transition. I found one cluggy solution. Install WMP11 in the XP mode of Windows 7 and whatever you edit there shows up when you play the mp3 in WMP12.

I usually fix Windows Media Player by uninstalling it, rebooting, and never installing it again. If you run Windows 7, you can remove it by going to Control Panel->Programs->Programs and Features and selecting "Turn Windows features on or off." You can also remove Internet Explorer this way.
