John Deere 1025r - Pallet Forks Lifts How Much? / #90

Показать описание
How much will a JD 1025 H 120 loader lift with forks? I'll demonstrate how much my John Deere 1025 R will lift safely. In a realistic daily setting. I'm using the Frontier AP 12 F forks. I may have been able to lift more if I stacked the weight differently, but my demonstration is showing how I would use the forks in a daily operation.

Today I'll use the Series 1, John Deere 1025r compact tractor to show you how to versatile the tractor is when equipped with Frontier pallet forks. This tractor has enough horsepower to lift large loads, making projects safer and improving my efficiency. Today I'll show you how I use my forks to move bags of concrete.

Hello and welcome to my channel, I'm in Dubuque Iowa, and my channel is know as Today in Iowa or Bill Burkhart 1025.Be sure and check out my channel for many videos including the John Deere 2038r backhoe and the many implements I have to maintain my property.

I'd enjoy hearing your comments, I answer every comment.

Thank you for sharing very informative on the lift data. All's it takes is one shim in the relief valve and voila you covered the weight of the forks! No shortage of counterweight with the backhoe on.

Thanks for the video. I was looking to see if I could lift a 48" tiller out of the back of a pickup. This video will last!

I went with Artillian forks, 42". They weight 212 lbs so that gets you an extra hundred or so pounds of stuff you can move. But like you said, what's an extra trip when you are on the tractor. Very informative and timely video that I will share with a friend. We were discussing this issue today and as you point out, we realize you only need to get the weight a few inches off the ground.

Hey Bill! I know this is an old video, but if you were to put loads closer to back of the pallet, you can move more weight. Good video, thanks

Thanks for the video. I think I saw the video you referenced in yours where they stated it could not lift what it was rated for. I was frustrated that he did not take into account all of the other weight that was on the loader and then complained the machine was no good?! I enjoy your videos. All the best to you.

New subscriber here. Just bot the 1025R yesterday. I have some wooded acreage that needs some maintenance and trails. Your videos are very helpful and informative. I just watched the video using pulverizer and rake. I think the rake might be a great tool for grooming some older trails.

Thanks for the hard work Bill.

Thanks for the video ! Always great to see what it's capable of. For the 5 acres I have, it's a great tractor for me too...

With hydrosplus lift cylinders and increasing pressure you can double that lift capacity. I know, I lifted 18-80lb bags on a pallet with my 1025r. It was exciting however, as I didn’t have enough ballast and it tipped forward. Fastest I ever lowered the boom, lol!

Bill, I have a 522 lbs engine to unload tomorrow. I scrambled to make sure my 1025R could do it. Your numbers seem higher than I expected and when I looked at A TTWT video, he is using a bucket and seems to only lift around 520 lbs. I have the same older, straight arm loader as yours in this video (I think that is the H model?) I know you may not see this in time to respond but any comment? Thanks, Jim.

A lot of people say I should have brought a bigger tractor than the 1025r but like you I say i have more time than money and i can make more trips.

There's a really good reason for diminished loader capacity...if the manufacturers wanted to, they could equip every tractor with 1500# loaders and not affect their bottom line. But if they did, people would find themselves upside down in their front yards, buried under whole pallets of sod or river rock. While it's definitely way better to lift something 6" off the ground and move it than carry it, I still don't think you can realistically call that a 1100 lb lift. You can realistically unload 500-ish lbs of stuff off a truckbed or trailer, and that's just fine! I'd say what the 1025R lacks in loader capacity, it makes up for with towability from a normal size vehicle, and the fact that you can mow a lawn with it without murdering the grass. everyone has different needs in a tractor. If u need to lift 1000 #'s 5-6 feet in the air, take ur $ and buy a mini skid instead!
