This video explores the topic of Iron Deficiency Anemia (IDA) and how it specifically impacts women and their livelihood. IDA is an illness involving an insufficient amount of iron in the body, which in turn affects the red blood cells. It is a major global health issue that remains severely underdiagnosed, especially in women. Women with IDA face many barriers and they are most likely to develop IDA. Through this video we hope to bridge the gap in knowledge about iron deficiency anemia in women and the challenges they face.

This video was made by McMaster University students Pooja Sharma, Youmna Sinjab, Aya Selman, and Lavanya Sinha in collaboration with the Demystifying Medicine McMaster Program.
