You missed much! Like the great food we enjoy in Erie - something from almost everywhere in the world. Discover Presque Isle and flying kites at Sunset Point. The music scene and night life in Erie. The ethnic festivals - from Polish to German to Greek to Italian and more. Beach & bay front concerts, kayaking & paddle boarding, bird watching, Erie playhouse, Wintergreen Gorge, fishing - how could you forget fishing? There's cross country skiing all around Erie in the winter and downhill skiing just up the road in NY.
In all fairness, you had to cut it off somewhere. Otherwise you would have a 12 hour video.

LOL Hidden Gem??? I was born and raised in Erie PA. I graduated HS, move out of that State of PA, and NEVER WENT back. My High School stopped holding reunions because the 10 year reunion had 20 people how up, 10 of which drove in from out of state. Class size was 600. Every single one of my friends I graduated with left Erie and PA. My closest friends moved to GA, SC, NC, TX, FL, and AZ.

Yes we moved to Erie three years ago to enjoy Lake Erie however getting to the Lake is difficult for us. Due to the heavy traffic down the hill to the Lake. It also is very fast which makes it is scary to walk or to ride a bicycle down. The only way to get to the Lake is by car. If you want to ride a bicycle on the Peninsula it is necessary to put the bicycle on the car. We sold our house and are planning to move since the reasons we came here are not available to us. I am very disappointed.

You did not mention the skiing resort nearby. We have not managed to find a way to get there. And how about the wild life in Erie? Yes there are a lot of great things here but not for us. Eva
