So something that people don’t take into consideration. In Europe, trucks are limited to 90kph. I think that in the us, Pepsi is using semi trucks going 70mph… so I think in Europe the semi trucks can easily achieve the rated range, no matter the weather

Q: “how many diesel trucks are there out there that can do 250, 000 miles in a year and a half?” A: All of them.

Small town Eastern Ontario Canada and we got a Tesla charging centre 2 years back and increasingly more and more people are going EV, seen my first Cybertruck yesterday in red...not bad I guess. I bought an Ebike last week to do my local shopping so I'm getting there slowly and I'll get an EV when car pukes out.

EV semis can recapture some of the energy used to go up hills by using regenerative braking on the downslope instead of relying on friction braking.

Semi don't use 4680 cell yet. 2170 cells are used.

Remember those 4680 cells are the "old type". Now Tesla has more advanced cells.

Current Tesla Semi trucks use the Panasonic 2170 batteries. But as Tesla ramps volume production of the Semis in 2025 they will be using the 2nd generation 4680 batteries, which have about 17% higher energy density compared to the current 4680s (274Wh/kg).

On average I drive 300 miles/500km in less than 5 hours, take my 30 minute break, and then continue for another 300 miles/500km for another 5hrs.

There have been numerous instances where I have driven 660-715 miles in the 11 hour maximum. (60 - 65 mph).

The Tesla Semi was too wide for Australia but a rule change means it is now legal. This occurred about a year ago.
6 prefab mega chargers for Sydney to Perth Semi Truck Route.
Or co join Rail to electrify all freight.
The same number to electrify East coast freight Routes.

The Semi fire in Tahoe was the result of a driver falling asleep causing a crash.

Sam the first.production semis were supposed to have 2170 and not the 4680

I'm wondering if electric trucks are safer on long mountain descents? I would think that the regenerative braking would reduce the possibility of runaway trucks due to brakes overheating?

Sam, Tell us what the situation is from your power supplier. What rate do you pay and when. What rate do they giver you and when.

Interesting to see there range in cold winter climate

Tesla, SpaceX, Boring ...are running one of the largest semi fleets in America. I'm still waiting for breakdown of how much this diesel fleet impacts these companies 'operating-costs'(...?) So, the Tesla semi is not a product primarily for commercial sales, but to reduce Tesla's overhead($...) If the Tesla semi sales pay for the factory/production costs, then Tesla gets to replace its diesel fleet practically for free(?...) Saw the show in Europe, where Tesla-Pepsi presented the results after one year, and the only concern was megawatt charger infrastructure, which is up to the buyer. Looks like Pepsi may get it's 100 semis this year, with 50 more in Fresno, but with a 50, 000 production ramp, the factory will be paid for by end-2027. What other company in the world actually pays for their factory in 3 years(?) THIS IS INSANE(!)

I love your videos - but why on earth do you keep referring to the company that put up your solar panels - in every single video??
Maybe make a video instead, where you give details of the hardware and show out graphs.
