“You’re nervous when there’s no bike lanes. At least I was. We have to do everything we can to make sure there’s never a death in the city. One death is way too many when it comes to bicycle riders.”

-Doug Ford (2017)

This can't be Doug Ford as this man can talk without a teleprompter and Dougie getting on a bike would blow the tires off by his weight.

Why does the premier of Ontario only seem to be micro managing Toronto?

There is nobody better at fixing problems that don't exist, than Doug Ford! I mean I can now drive my F150 around the corner to get a beer. Before Doug, it was at least a kilometer. That's saving me money, big time. Thanks Doug!

Millions spent adding bike lanes, and he wants to waste millions undoing all this. It's not the first multimillion dollar project he wastes money rewinding back, and it's always for his friends, never Ontarians.

So serious question... when the bike lanes are removed... and the first cyclist is killed because of no bike lanes.. can that person's family sue Doug Ford, and each one of his Cabinet and backbenchers for being complicit?

A message to Doug FRAUD - as a token of my deepest abiding respect for you - please accept my biggest *TWIN MIDDLE FINGER SALUTE* .

He doesn't understand that the whole point is saving lives. Mostly pedestrian lives. It's been proven over and over. Tearing them out will make personal injury lawyers rich at the expense of the Ontario taxpayer.

On march 22nd, 2024. at 9:45am, I witnessed a vehicle hit a biker in a bike lane at Howden and Dixie intersection in Brampton, Ontario while I was in an uber to my gym. The bike lanes are very well built and obvious lanes on this road. People still confuse it for the old right turn lane and ignore the new symbols that are painted on the road that indicates to preform the right turn in their lane and not merge into the bike lane. There are cars in the bike lane here consistently without fail. It should be monitored by police. People do not slow down as they merge onto dixie, but speed up, as its a main road.

I'd like to see him spell 'bicycle'.

Just a horrible leader of Ontario, can't call him a leader at all just up for selling off Ontario. Refuses to find hospital or courts. Shameful

How else are the cars going to get to the huge parking lot he promised the Ontario Place private spa. Using taxpayer money to build a parking lot and give it free to a private company for 100 years of the lease term. Apparently that’s not part of the gravy train.

I love how much contempt this skit has for Doug Ford. Not just as a politician but as a person.

I guess we need to use that $200 for new helmets and pads, since we're going to need them.

I got rid of my car when kids were teens as not to be stuck driving them and as not to cripple them up, I'm in Pte-Claire, haven't driven in yrs, ride everywhere, still have my license (pls notice correct spelling) and adult kids do very well, car's hubby problem!

The only thing pumped up in Doug's house is his opinion of himself.

If you remove bike lanes, then you will have more traffic and congestion. There simply isn't enough space for everyone to drive and park a car. This is why adding car lanes doesn't fix traffic.

We can push the ideas here:

Feature Doug as he quotes the 2011 statistic only 2% of people in Toronto ride bikes. Only he’s standing at Bloor and Yonge watching cyclists whiz by when he says it.

Show Bill 212 Cyclists’ Version.

People who ride bikes tend not to drive on highways like the 401, 427 and 404. We already have neighbourhoods where 20% or more ride bikes. Raising the whole city to this level is a question of expanding the network of bike lanes from downtown. The result is less congestion on highways, not just on local streets.

And you can show Doug Ford in a car stuck in traffic, pointing to the bike lane right beside, saying I want to use this lane. Jagmeet Singh rides by and says, Come on and join us! In the closing shot, the two of them ride off into the sunset together.
