Student loan forgiveness is not popular with many blue-collar workers . The chant of " you took out the loan, you pay it back" is not coming frome rich people, but the working class that did not go to college.

Look at all these commenters advocating crushing debt for people trying to get an education. We have some of the strangest priorities as a society that I have ever heard of. Imagine believing that forcing most people to take on debt to go to school is okay, or that refusing to pay it back is somehow unfair or irresponsible. It's like they want to reward the system for screwing us. It's bizarre.

I don’t understand about the comments about work harder or get off of your parents TIT some of us were not privileged to have both parents in our lives and had to work hard throughout their entire youth to their adult hood and then you push to get your education, then you finally get with the company that pays for your advance degree which you still owe from your original degree even with scholarships it didn’t cover all of the tuitionI think people speak without knowing experiences of other people and assume that other people just lazy and that is definitely incorrect the same way oh if you work hard, you’ll be rich. Well a lot of us work really hard and we’re not rich.

Nope, Why, education is free. Just don't pay it back. I got 250k in student loans and took my degrees with me to Europe. I will never pay back something that is free. Rich people get new ballparks, companies, bailouts and you want me to pay for an education. Please!!!

I got suckered into a pay to pass college when I was a teenager.The SAVE plan is the only thing keeping me from drowning in debt.

I can answer that question very quickly yes. I put in for student loan forgiveness during the Obama Administration it was canceled during the Trump Administration and it was finished during the Biden Administration it saved me more money than any tax break would ever be able to do
