My girlfriend was an art history major and as she told me the private parts of a statue weren't small cause of a sign of wisdom, but rather for balance purpose. If the pp was big it would stick out of the statue like a sore thumb and a person wouldn't really be able to concentrate on the entire statue as a piece of art but rather on that grand pp.

King Tutankhamun was not actually erect when he was mummified, it was part of Egyptian ritual to give Pharaohs a gold plated penis during mummification, usually in an erect position. This was done to signify the Pharaoh's great virility.

I heard somewhere that king tut's parents were related somehow, probably siblings, so he had birth defects which caused him to have a hard time walking(along with other issues). Assuming that's true, I'm not surprised he was excited to die. Please feel free to correct me on information if I got it incorrect.

The bit about Greek sculpture is incorrect. The representation of virility and intellect was not reflected in genitalia size. The size has to do with the use of perfect proportions in the Classical Greek understanding of beauty. This has been well documented, beginning famously with Praxiteles. Furthermore, what you showed was a Roman copy. Which, on the subject of intellect is where such depictions begin. As in, the use of verism within portraiture. For the most part, Greek sculpture was casted in bronze. The depictions featured idealism and emphasized ephemeral beauty to accentuate the figure as being otherwordly. Considering that Classic Greek sculpture showcases gods. Versus Roman sculpture depicted real people and storytelling. It's during the transition during the Hellenistic period where we see stories being shown in emotional poses. Along with verism being used to describe a person's status and wisdom. In Classical Greece, wisdom and intellect was personified through the use of dieties and philosophical discussion surrounding other art forms such as pottery. Most famously, Athena the goddess of wisdom and battle strategy was the patron goddess of Athens. Her clothing, stances, adornments, hairstyle, and the like are all signifiers of wisdom and battle. To see Athena was to see wisdom itself. When combined with Nike, was to see the victory of intellect in battle.

And just an fyi peeps...all of this is just basic intro to art history. You can find it all in the most standard of textbooks in the art history world -- Gardner's Art Through The Ages.

And one last tidbit. It's not like this sort of stuff isn't taught. Literally, this is all pretty much first year community college. It's not esoteric or really all that random. It's just not stuff you might find in a middle school class. So kind of just take a moment to realize that you aren't actually being restricted from any knowledge. These types of videos aren't hidden secrets. You can just go trip around on Wikipedia or Encylopedia Britannica and read about things like art history.

Edit: food for thought -- is your perception of this "large volume of text" because it really is too much, or are you a participant of anti-intellectualism? Or do you honestly have difficulty understanding a paragraph that would, by academic standards, be considered short?

My History teacher also was the varsity football coach. He told us all about the crocodile dung as a birth control method. He also taught us about the plant that extinct that was also another form of birth control. The upper society people turned the combination into a pill. They would also cause miss carriages. Coach Waite also told us that the brothels in ancient times that the room would have their specialty painted above the door...
But; I went to high school in the 90s. When the world wasn't soo touchy about everything. Along with a whole world without social media!
