2016 version of "The Shift" by the Sedins.

Something you really notice when watching them is both brothers are constantly circling in overlapping circles. Henrik around from side to side behind the goal line meeting Daniel at the bottom of the right side circle, and Daniel circling on the right side of the ice catching Hendriks pass at the bottom of the circle and if he has a lane pushing the puck into the area out front of the net, or moving the puck high for another attempt at the maneuver where Daniels circles back up to the blue line and waits for a line mate to push the puck back into the opposite corner.

You can also see they always have an exact idea where each other are with Henrik and Daniel not even needing to look to know if their pass will work.

It’s a great play, and it appears Draisaitl and McDavid have tried to adopt it, but without that incredible chemistry it’s not as effective.

Players like Kane, Mathews, and Crosby have their own versions of this play where they circle a curtain area like in front of the net or on the circle like Daniel. But it will never be as effective at pushing the defence out of their net front position as when the Sedins did it.
Absolutely incredible. I don’t think we will ever see such an incredible passing duo again.

I was at that game, awesome! I was 7 when I went to that game with my dad and that shift close to the end of regulation was sick. We were at section 350 up in the nosebleed level. Me and my dad both jumped out of our seat when D. Sedin scored. Then in shootout, Sutter scored the winning goal. I’ll never forget that game. Go Nucks Go!
