The fact that I got "throwback to nexus" short after this is too funny. 😂

Randy's right there too. They've earned this. We're getting the best versions of them. Themselves.

Dude, the dx graphics on the screen as they walked out was so revolutionary, I remember thinking how game-changing that was.

That DX run in 06-07 is the equivalent of when you have finally been at your job for so long that nothing bothers you anymore and you are virtually good at everything. Now every day at work is a stress free breeze and you can almost relax and still get the job done better than anyone else.

John is becoming the father of pro wrestling. He’s truly stepped into such a wise role that’s helped the younger talent that most legends will never do because they don’t like the stigma of losing or being a stepping stone. Hats off to him

Shawn carried the company for 2-3 of the hardest years. Then Hunter joined and they made the most important stable in the company's history - and fundamentally altered the entire direction that the company would take for the next few years (thereby saving the company). Shawn then passed the torch (albeit reluctantly) to Austin. Shawn then came back as the company man that didn't need titles, nor the most impressive win/loss record. Yet he still carried the company in some ways (always gave the best match of the year until his retirement).

That's how he got to enjoy goofing off.

He's basically saying...His time is up, their time is now.

I know he may not have been talking about Cody, but it was nice to see the Cody references. He’s truly the closest to Cena character wise.

It's what the Rock is also doing right now. Making them laugh. But Cody can't just use the same quips. He is in the Cena slot, he gotta make them believe.

Man, Cena seems like such a intelligent guy, he gives off such sweet, humble grandpa vibes here.

😤 the bottom line affecting others, most underrated quote here. He could lost in a few different matches to a few different staples (nexus) or people but he was paying alotta peoples bills up and down the organization payroll bc the kids LOVED him. Gotta remember nobody care wtf a 17, 19, 24 year old fan want, it’s about the kids and the people and people’s family’s that sacrifice time without them so they can put on these shows‼️‼️‼️‼️💯💯💯💯

“Alright, I made em laugh- now you go make em believe” that quote sticks out to me. I’ve never heard such a nuanced take on the DX run, and Cena’s position during that time vs now. Incredible insight, thank you Cena!

Man I'm not even going to lie to you that warmed my heart and knowing that's how they look at it from the inside, That's such a wholesome thing and to know that like there's not any hostility or anything when it comes to passing the torch that's such a holesome thing granted I know it's business I know there's some shady tactics and stuff but just hearing it like that really does wonders
