Sailing Harley Quinn - First Sail Round The Estuary

Attempted the first sail round the estuary today but wasn't going anywhere fast as the wind just died. The sailing club had youth races going and they looked a bit naffed off because of lack of wind. Still it was a lovely October day again though and it was good to be able to get out even though I was on engine most of the time. Also got a fouled prop due to an old bit of rope which was a pain to sort out.

christ andy that brings back memories of the 1970s and 80s when i grew up on that sea front, we used to swim across from bsea harbor to st osyth beach then walk 1/4 a mile to the outdoor heated swimming pool at the holiday camp and spend all day swimming in nice clean warm water then swim back across the estuary to the harbor ! ahh great memories brought back my friend

I had a Tomahawk for a while, a fin keel. I sailed it home from Brighton to Anglesey, was two weeks late to return to work! A good sailer, all the best with yours.
