Watching Star Trek TOS reruns, with Kirk & Spock, after I came home after school was my introduction to the Trek universe. I found it fascinating and inspirational, and am confident that it shaped my view of the world and how I should behave in it. Then I added TNG into the mix.

Essentially, with intelligence and positive friendships, the future will turn out to be incredible.

There has always been a fierce rivalry between the franchises - Star Wars Vs Star Trek - and now with this new animation show Star Trek with Cpt/Admiral Janeway is being revitalized in a way that the Star Wars movies & tv shows are not. This seems a better way to reconnect/bring in a new generation - Anime vs Movie - Anime will always win. The characters never age & despite the actors being older they only have to provide their voices. - its a win-win situation.

Kate Mulgrew doesn't understand what the Prime Directive is. It's non-interference with worlds who have not developed warp drive yet. Star Trek has also aways appealed to children. TOS, TNG were loved by kids.
