"GUARANTEED Pass Your Road Test "First Time" + the Defensive & Winter Driving Smart Courses

For the purposes of a driver's test, red and yellow traffic lights mean the same thing...stop. If you can do so safely, you must stop for a yellow traffic light. If you proceed through the intersection on a yellow light and the examiner can see the traffic light turn to red as you're moving through the intersection, that's an automatic fail on a driver's test. If you do go through on a yellow, proceed by covering the brake and be prepared to give way.

Good luck on your road test.

Red light mean stop
Green Light mean go
Yellow light mean go very fast.
Bet you can't quote the movie😁

I guess it depends on your local laws, in my country yellow means, stop if safe to do so, if stoping means jamming the break pedal, you might as well go through

I think the best way to run a yellow light/blow a yellow light is when your going straight because if you go left during a yellow its possible for crashes.

Cop didn't see it, I didn't do it!

The police told me that as long as my front wheels are across the line before it turns red, I am allowed to clear the intersection. And It didn’t matter if I had time to stop.

It's different for a semi trucks.
If you're at a particular distance at a yellow then you're expected to go through the yellow, especially if the roads are wet (and/or) down hill.

Depends on when you cross the line that enters the intersection and which the speed limit allows you. Got pulled over for running a red light. Dash cam and street cam validated that the timer was short for the speed limit allowed and the vastness of the intersection. That what's happens when the city installs lights and cameras in rural areas...

It's never about teaching kids the difference between safe and not safe its always about driving like a grandma playing things safe its much more about both hands on the wheel and look in your mirror more than it is actually about being aware of what's going on and relative to your situation that's what safe really is.blowing a stop sign is only dangerous if you aren't aware of your surroundings but if no ones there you can't endanger somone who isn't there.also you are always in danger as long as you are in a car on the road there ate inherent risks.

just count it. 4 seconds is the minimum so go if you enter on 1-2 and stop if the time is already 3. these will vary on speed and time so stop if the time is halfway or more

Failed the driving part of my cdl test because of this. Light turned yellow when I entered the intersection …total bs 😅

I’d say for the test make sure to check every box but on the road just driving you don’t have to be as stringent

Yellow means to take your foot off the gas and allow your vehicle to roll to a slow before pumping your brakes to a stop while judging spatial awareness of the red light, stop line, and traffic ahead if there’s any.

I mean. Im sure this is true in other states but i definitely drove through two yellows when i did my test and still passed. Granted they were very fresh yellows.

This is new. I went to driving school and the word was if you pass the stop line before the light turns red, you are legal, however dangerous!

i think my instructor pretended she didnt see it and still passed me. ofc it had to turn yellow on me, right when its too late to stop without being rear ended.

Just saying this is why people get rear ended or killed because, hey let’s slam on breaks for a yellow light while a fully loaded truck is the vehicle directly behind you. PEOPLE LOOK BEHIND YOU BEFORE STOPPING AT A YELLOW LIGHT. The biggest thing all truck drivers hate are these people. Just go through the light or hear the song of my people. Not saying this to be a dyck, but let’s be more safe. But from a firefighters stand point also, we treat green, yellow, and red lights. As a yellow/red light because it’s safety 100%

I don’t know bout y’all but in my state as long as you’re in the intersection by the time it turns red then you good

Yellow gets you rear-ended! It's not always safe to stop on yellow!

Well, if I do start driving then I’ll use the yellow light as an opportunity to slow down

Even if you already have your license, if the light turns red while you are in the intersection, you can still get a ticket for running a red light.
